Every kind of love story has a home here.
Kentuckiana Romance Writers, Inc. is a Kentucky non-profit based in Louisville, serving romance and romantic fiction writers across the area. No matter your skill level or where you are in your career, whether you're brand new to writing or have published twenty-five novels, KRW welcomes you.
Sweet or scorching. Inspirational or monstrous. No gatekeeping, ever.
Dues are $20 a year. That's the whole barrier to entry.
At a glance
What you get
Craft, industry, and marketing education alongside people who understand exactly why your word count matters.
Monthly Meetings
In person around the region or on Zoom. Craft talks, guest speakers, and the industry conversations that are hard to have alone.
Private Facebook Group
Members only. Where the real questions get asked between meetings and nobody has to explain what a beat sheet is twice.
Formal Mentoring
Paired with members who have already been through querying, indie publishing, and the parts nobody blogs about.
Annual Charity Anthology
No buy-in required. Cover design, editing, and formatting are donated. One hundred percent of proceeds go to a charity members vote on.
March Mini-NaNo
Our annual competition. Prizes, accountability, and the particular joy of watching a stuck chapter finally break loose.
Books, Hooks & Crooks
Our own reader event. Sell and sign your books to romance readers who came specifically to find their next favorite author.
No subgenre left at the door
Our members write across the whole map. If it ends in a happily ever after, it belongs at the table.
Our authors
USA Today bestsellers, award winners, and writers finishing a first draft. That mix is the entire point.
Spicy Wishes and Holiday Kisses
Holiday romance from Halloween through New Year's Eve — paranormal, small-town, and everything in between, from eleven KRW members.
Romance Books, Hooks & Crooks
Our own reader event, and one of the best reasons to be a member.
Ready to stop writing alone?
Membership is open to published and unpublished writers of romance and romantic fiction. No credentials required, no gatekeeping — just the work and the willingness to keep going.
